Content and Process of Interviewing

Don't make the person being interviewed feel uncomfortable.

Keep a cool head, especially if the person is rude to you.

Record the info, whether by writing it down or filming with a video camera.

Make sure your questions are interviewing, not educating. The main distinction between them is that interviewing is asking questions people are more likely familiar with, while educating is asking questions that are too irrelevant.

Keep your own personal opinions to yourself. Even if the person says they don't mind, keep them to yourself.

Why Fiction is Important

Why should people care about fiction? Surprisingly, fiction may be a little more important in our lives than we may think, even besides teaching and educating kids. Here's why: it makes life a little more bearable. When going through stressful times, everyone needs a break every once in a while. Watching a movie, for example, can let you leave reality for a bit and immerse yourself into the experience. If it's a movie you've never seen before, it's fun because you don't know what'll happen next (in a less "real" way, of course). If you have seen it before, then it's more merciful for lack of a better term because it's a way to escape an unpredictable reality and know what's going to happen in this piece of entertainment. Not to mention that it can be a good way to bond with people. If they're a fan of something that you like, you can discuss with them about it.

Topics

1.) Similarities Between Fiction and Reality
Elements in fiction can sometimes just be metaphors for real life events.
These can be used to subtly make it more relatable and give the source that
they're from another layer of intrigue to it.

2.) Positives and Negatives of Restriction
Sometimes there can be restraints on some projects, like a limited budget
or focus groups. These can limit certain aspects of a movie or a show and
make it less than originally intended. However, it can sometimes be used to
one's advantage. Robert Anthony Rodríguez, well known for movies like Spy
Kids, Sin City, and Desperado, uses a limited budget to make his own artistic
style. The original Star Wars movies, had there been a larger budget, would've
turned out like the prequels did (and that's not something anyone would want).
While it is better to be able to express yourself, it sometimes is useful to keep
some kinds of restrictions from being a bad movie. Sometimes, less is more.

3.) How to Control Copyright
Copyright is one of the most confusing things in media, and that's mainly
because of how much has changed over the years. With the advent of
websites like YouTube, people can upload entire movies if they wanted to. Due
to this, there are many confusing aspects with it's Content ID System (and
there video with the Happy Tree Friends doesn't really help the issue as much
as just make things even more confusing).
